Health Testing

Tuberculosis Surveillance

NCNM applies this testing policy to students, employees, and volunteers, as the risk of working in a medical setting maybe high. Incoming new students, and students returning from over one year of leave, must be tested with the Quantiferon Gold TB blood test, which is to be completed during New Student Orientation and before matriculation in classes. The required method of TB blood test, Quantiferon gold, can be obtained at various labs, and for a reduced rate at the NCNM Clinic lab. Please contact the Office of Student Life for forms and information.

Hepatitis B Vaccine

Optional Hepatitis B vaccine is offered to all students at no cost to the student. Hepatitis B vaccines are offered by the Travel & Immunization Clinic of Portland. Vouchers may be obtained by contacting the Facilities & Safety department at NCNM.
